Get to know Revolution

Our Story Image

Pastor Pacer and Connie Hepperly dreamed of planting a church with a simple goal: help people connect with God in order to reach their full potential. It all started at Restoration International Outreach (RIO Central in Maryville, Tennessee), where it was determined a local church plant in Blount County in Maryville, Tennessee, was necessary to promote growth. With little more than a handful of people – 39 to be exact – the team committed to transforming their dream into reality. The first service was held on January 7, 2007, at Heritage High School in Maryville.

From the beginning, Revolution Church focused on reaching the hopeless and hurting through outreach and missions. Revolution Church planted 10 churches their first year, suppressing the need to build their own church facility, and giving nearly 20% of their income to missions.

Since then, the church has grown in every measurable way. The current campus at 3419 E Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville was completed in the fall of 2012 and seats just over 1100 people. In 2015, an education wing was added along with a pavilion and walking trail. Also in 2015, we planted our first international Revolution Church in Chile. In 2016, we planted another international Revolution Church in Argentina.

As a result of the growth, we have recently launched multi-services (Sunday morning & evening services) and now provide live stream services to our internet campus. July 2019, we launched our new campus in the Greenback community. The new campus, Revolution 411 Campus, is everything that the Broadcast campus is and includes live worship and a simulcast sermon message.

Our current focus is on people in our local community in Blount County. In 2019 we officially opened ReUnite, serving a diverse population of mothers 18-35 years of age to be reunited with their children who are currently living in the foster care system and/or with kinship families. Our signature annual event, Helping Hands, is our local outreach project to assist the underprivileged children and families in Blount County. 2020 will be our 13th year helping our community get our children back to school, and we are excited that we will add a second Helping Hands event at our new campus location area focusing on the needs in Greenback/Maryville. Last year through Helping Hands, the church invested over $135,000 into the community to help needy children.

In addition to Helping Hands, we also have numerous events and activities that focus on helping those in our community – God’s Kitchen feeding the homeless, the Giving Garden which provides fresh produce during the growing season, Overcomers Cancer Support Group, Celebrate Recovery, Second Chance Prom Ministry, Sparrow’s Cry, Special Needs Ministry, money management, hosting the homeless through Family Promise, in addition to conferences, meetings, and trainings.

Revolution Church is a wonderful place to Connect. Grow. Serve.
